Winter 2013 has been a very busy season for leading climbing and hiking trips! Aaron and I figured it’d be a good idea to create a “recap” post with a couple pictures and even a video to close out the season. And while Exist Anew is about far more than hiking and climbing, we feel climbing is one of the best ways to tune into your natural capacity, and escape, literally and figuratively, from our exceedingly stressful lifestyles.

Below is a picture I took from the summit of Mt. Katahdin in Northern Maine last weekend (3/9/2013). The second picture is the sunset from Mt. Washington that same day. My friend Dan and I had the bright idea to catch the sunrise on Katahdin and immediately descend to catch the sunset 300 miles away on Mt. Washington, totaling 18 hours, 25 miles, and 9500ft vertical gain. One of the best ideas I’ve had all year:
